Kevin Madden - The Sugar Loaf

Kevin Madden is a former All-Ireland and All-Britain winning fiddle player from the vibrant Manchester Irish music scene. He has extensive experience playing in ceili bands and sessions and this, his debut release, is a traditional fiddle album which sees him bring all these experiences to fruition.

The tunes are, in the main, traditional, along with some others by composing legends such as James Scott Skinner, Ed Reavy and Seamus Ennis. Kevin plays them in a very traditional style and at the perfect pace - his experience as a player for dancing shining through.

He is joined by several other musicians (including Tim Edey, Mike McGoldrick, Gerry Conlon and John Joe Kelly) who ably support him while allowing his fiddle to remain firmly at the helm of this great album.
